一. Application
The equipment of SDSZ electromagnetic power failure is be made up of rectifier and brake. It widely used in safe brake of revolving solid, especially it can form a new TEJ series electromagnetic brake motor with the Y series or Y2 series. The new type of motor can be widely used in metallurgy, construction, chemicals, food, machine tools, packaging machinery and other industries to achieve quick stop, pinpoint and safely brake when it is suddenly power-down.
二. Conductions of use
2.1 environment temperature is -15°to 40°; Friction disc surfaces must be free of oil.
2.2 Relative humidity: below 90%, permit no coagulum;
2.3 There is no air and dust that can rusty metal or destroy insulate in surrounding.
2.4 Insulation grade: B, Protection class: IP23.
2.5 Nominal power: 50Hz+5%, mains voltage fluctuation: +10%~-18%.
2.6 Please to ensure the normal working air gap, can’t exceed the maximal value.
三. Structural and working principle
The brake is made up of magnetic yoke, magnet exciting coil, spring, friction disc, armature iron, hub splines, mounting screw, governing(hollow) screw, manual tripping device( or screw releasing gear). The brake is mounted on the motor rear end plate (or the flange plate); adjust the mounting screw to the normal air-gap value; the hub splines is fixed on the motor shaft, its external tooth mesh with the internal spline of friction disc to drive torque. The friction disc can move along hub splines. When the magnet coil is galvanical, the magnetic field of formation make the armature iron moving to the magnetic yoke, then the armature away from the friction disc, so the motor shaft drive friction disc to proper span; when the coil is off-position, the magnetic flux disappear, the magnetic yoke release the armature iron, the spring press on the magnetic yoke, then the friction disc is tightly pressed on the motor rear end plate and product friction force, so braking can be achieved.
Pull the "handle release device" or tightening "screw releasing gear", make the armature iron away from the friction disk, so the rotational shaft can be easily to install and adjust.
四.The step of brake installation and air gap adjustment 4.1 loosen hollow screw, namely make the hollow screw spin to magnetic yoke;
4.2 installing mounting screw, and ensure the normal air-gap value by proof stick;
4.3 back out hollow screw and make it locking on the motor rear end plate or the flange plate.

Caution:When it leaves the factory, the motor’s “K” is being short-circuit (the DC output terminal of certifier is connected to brake), the equipment is slow application. If the user need it to quick-acting, the mode of connection must according to Fig.1, the braking time might have been 0.1s.

五. Control circuit
The operating voltage of brake coil is direct current, its value is DC99V or DC170V. We have product DY-Z rectifier and SYZ dual voltage rectifier(output is DC198V-DC99V or DC340V-DC170V) for the brake. Two types certifiers are the same dimensions and are small volume, operation reliable, sealing. They can be mounted in the junction box of motor. The maximum permitted voltage of DYZ rectifier is 2000V and the maximum permitted electric current is 6A. This type of rectifier is our conventional product. The maximum permitted voltage of SDYZ rectifier is 1000V and the maximum permitted electric current is 3A. Connection method is showed as follows: “X”---- the normally open contact of AC contactor

六.Matters needing attention of using 6.1 Friction plate wears easily. The size of air gap is increased after wearied. When the size is overrun the maximal allowable values, the friction plate is compulsory wearied because magnetic yoke can’t make the armature iron to move. So it might bring about more and more heat to such an extent that the winding of brake is burned out. Then you should adjust it in time and its services time normally can’t beyond 4 months. The maximum permitted air-gap’s values of all the kinds of brake is showed as the follows table (based on the YEJ brake motors standard JB/T6459-92):

6.2 When running or braking frequently, you should periodically check for loose substantial parts. If it loose, tighten the adjustment before use it. 6.3 When you start difficult or noisy motors, brakes should be checked and adjusted according to the fourth in this note. 6.4 When this device be used with the frequency converter, their input terminal should be connected together in order to keep the power frequency in 50Hz range.

When ordering, please note on the brake specifications, types, and quantity. If you have special requests (such as isopropyl frequency, voltage, insulation, protection, etc), please indicate. Friction disc that scratch easily, can be ordered individually; rectifiers and brake upgrades can also be ordered separately. |
